Love, love this shower. I already smell the difference. The town water sometimes had a chemical smell, my hair falling out. Did a ton of research, this seemed the safest. Only thing is if yr shower is not huge then it hits the back wall pretty high. I bought a shower wand holder suction cup and now its at the correct height.
I love this new shower head!! With that being said, I have hard water and a whole house filter and a water softener. And still any shower head that I purchase ends up full of gunk and looking horrible after a year or so. I’m hoping to extend the life with this new product. I love the smooth face and read the instructions telling me when it gets gooky soak in some white vinegar. Smart, I will be doing that. I’m also pretty short so I don’t get the ‘smell’ effect BUT I do get the best feeling on my skin. I get itchy with hard water and I used this as a hand held spray and it felt so soft and smooth. Love this and I’m looking to buy the individual one without the removable head as well.
I honestly didn’t expect to notice much, but my skin feels less tight and dry after showering now. The pressure is still strong, and it was easy to install.
Customer service is so good, that I decided to come leave a review. I love the shower head look, feel, and flow. Id prefer a tad more water pressure, but when I remove the flow regulator, my water pressure is attacking me, so I've settled with leaving the flow regulator in. It's actually nice. They give you 2 to choose from. The essential oil things they let you sample are also really nice, and the shower feels really good. Changing filters is easy and I love it. I live in LA and I know for a fact the pipes in my area are not good. This gives me some peace of mind. The warranty is also really good and customer service is very accessible and friendly and will help you with whatever's needed. Very grateful.

I was really struggling with skin and hair issues. This thing has helped my skin in ways I could t have imagined! This handheld filtered shower head has been so amazing. I have very hard water. I've only used it for a week but I can already tell my skin feels less dry and the water pressure feels great too. How is this different from a basic shower filter?
Most handheld shower filters use carbon or KDF — they lose effectiveness within weeks and can never guarantee 99.9% chlorine removal across the filter's life. Second Shower uses food-grade Vitamin C, the same ascorbic acid hospitals use for dechlorination. It neutralizes chlorine through a direct chemical reaction, so removal stays at 99.9% for the entire 30–60 day life of the filter. Our PP sediment filter is also independently certified to NSF/ANSI 42 standards — third-party verified, not self-reported.
Will it work with my existing shower setup?
Yes. The Showerhand kit includes everything you need: the handheld wand, hose, wall mount, plumber's tape, and a starter aroma tablet. It threads onto any standard 1/2" NPT shower arm — that's 99% of US showers. Tool-free installation, about 5 minutes. We strongly recommend using the included hose — third-party hoses sometimes have incompatible rubber packing that causes pressure loss with our filtration core.

Will it lower my water pressure?
No. 128 micro-jets are engineered to deliver full coverage at standard residential pressure. If you're in a high-pressure home, there's a small flow regulator (a blue disc) you can pop out for even more punch — totally safe to remove. Most customers say it actually feels stronger than their previous showerhead because the spray is more focused.
Why is my filter brown after a few weeks — is something wrong?
It's the opposite. Brown and orange are sediment, rust, and heavy metal particles the filter captured from your tap water through micron filtration. It's not mold or bacteria — it's exactly what would have ended up on your skin and hair every shower. What's the difference between this and the wall-mount Showerhead?
Same filtration core, different format. The Showerhand is handheld with a hose — ideal for flexibility, rinsing kids, bathing pets, or accessibility. The Showerhead is wall-mounted with 176 micro-jets and a longer-lasting filter (2–4 months vs 1–2). The Showerhand also has an infuser chamber for optional aroma tablets.
